Our New Project!
It happened today! Ash Wednesday! 17th of February 2010.
As you know or may know, We are extremely happy here in the Gummersbach area of Nord Rhine West Falen NRW.
We have been here 2 years.
Our 2 smallest kids, Jemima aged 10 and Michelle aged 8, are doing well in the local junior school and have learned perfect German in just one year and are holding their own with the other German children.
Our five oldest kids are on the brink of becoming a famous singing group in Los Angeles and Mikey and Jazzy (Jasmine) are leaving tomorrow to pioneer a singing contract and a reality show contract.
We have been well accepted by our local Catholic Community and our Parish Priest has just been promoted to Monsignor.
We live entirely by faith from donations received from distributing Catholic Literature and Holy Cards and from our ministry on the internet.
Our proudest achievement is to be Ambassadors of the Catholicism project of Father Robert Baron of Word on Fire Ministries. This is a world changing project using High class Media equipment to spread the Catholic Faith on the terms of the Catholic Church without outside interference. This project is funded entirely from donations from Lay Catholics and is nearing completion.
Everything seemed to be idyllic. We have got to know almost the whole population and even though not everyone approves of our Roman Catholic position, all the other denominations admire our enthusiasm and determination to spread our faith.
Even Muslims support us in our Pro Life attitude and their love for Mariam the mother of Jesus.
I am 72 and had pretty much resigned myself to believe that this would be my last station after an incredible life as a faith missionary over the last 40 years travelling around the world doing my best to preach the Gospel to every creature... Mark Ch 16 verse 15.
Over the last 25 years we have spent 7 years in India where our three eldest children, Mikey now 24, Marieangela 22 and Jasmine 20 tomorrow, came into the world, then 9 years in Ukraine where the next three, Natasha aged 17, David aged 15 and Jemima aged 10 were born and then 4 years in Poland where Shelly, our youngest aged 8 arrived in Warsaw the Capital.
At the end of November and beginning of December 2009 our lives were severely jolted by the operations of a well organised criminal gang that began to plunder the 150 or so Caravans in our trailer park where we were living very cheaply and adequately.
Our Trailer suffered the first loss as three full Gas bottles were exchanged for empty ones and then followed a further 43 acts of banditry which neither the Police nor the unwilling to interfere owners were able to stop.
Thanks to God and my wife and my self the bandits were caught in their hideout which was supposed to be an empty Caravan. The criminal plain clothes Police were then able to arrest them with some of the stolen items lying in this caravan which was owned at the time by the assistant Warden, the father of one of the bandits.
This act infuriated the owners and their Wardens, which seems extremely sinister, and we were told that we would not be welcome here past the end of 2010. Very fishy business to say the least.
God works in mysterious ways His wonders to perform. I was extremely upset to begin with and then finally resigned myself to see that this was indeed the hand of God getting us out of our very comfortable location.
We considered moving to a cheap rented house or apartment in the neighbourhood but today the Lord showed us clearly through our oldest kids too, to move to England to the Birmingham area of the Midlands.
We would like to move in July/August this year at the end of the school year.
We have virtually no cash.... this is quite normal for us but we have been gifted with lots of faith.

Would you like to help us get started???????...
We will need a place to stay for at the most 6 to 8 weeks and this will give us time to arrange residence as I am a British Subject (and my family is German at present. We all speak perfect English all the same,) and to find suitable cheap housing or a Caravan Park.

Angels of MERCY!!!!!

I am sure that many times in your life you suffer from discouragement????!!!
Am I correct??
In my daily job of taking the Gospel to the streets and door to door, I too get discouraged.
People can be very cruel..BEGGAR!!! They scream at me... GET A PROPER JOB!
One so called friend, a so called pillar of our Church, when I asked him for a little help to continue doing a job which other Christians should also consider doing, exclaimed..GO TO SOCIAL SECURITY FOR HELP AND STOP BOTHERING ME!! I would like to add that over the last 2 years this man has given us a very few and very small donations. We sure never ask him again.
Being English, I am thankful because a great deal of the insults are incomprehensible to me with my very small command of the German language.
For Irmgard it is much tougher.. She understands all the insults.. Our stock answer to these kind of people is, “Jesus Loves You!” And we say this as sincerely as we can through our hurt feelings and general sadness. We say it always with a smile..
The people who rush to and fro on the streets will all one day die and have to meet their Maker and the awesome judgement that will inevitably follow. From what we have discovered over the years a vast majority of them are totally unprepared for this day. Hopefully they will be allowed to die slowly with time to contemplate their lives and ask for forgiveness which we ALL need. However many will die suddenly without any time of preparation.
It is I think very important to contemplate the moment of death. As we think and consider this inevitable moment it will help us to make adjustments and also to ask for forgiveness from those we have offended.
I remember one day while witnessing in Krakow Poland, a kind Restaurant owner was giving us a free meal, and sitting close by were some American Ladies and we were explaining our work to them.
One of them beamingly exclaimed, “You are angels of mercy!”
Wow!! I had never thought of myself as being an angel.. The word Angel is usually connected to something very Holy!
Actually the word Angel simply means a messenger.
Yes that is what we are... Messengers... MESSENGERS...
The MERCY part too is very applicable. People we meet have no idea of when their departure date is fixed from this earth. That is not quite true because we do meet people who are on Death Row so to speak with notice from their doctors that they are soon going to die from a terminal illness like cancer. These we treat with extra special care and try to point out to them that we all have to die and that if we are believers and receivers of the Word of God in the person of Jesus, then we are guaranteed Eternal Life.
This new realisation has given me so much encouragement to continue this job of ours until the day we too have to leave this earth.
