YOU ARE WHAT YOU TALK ABOUT...

When I was a kid, I was boat crazy.. I loved boats..sailing dinghies..

I spent all my spare time on the river at a place called Littlehampton at the mouth of the very fast flowing river ARUN

I had a friend and as soon as the summer or Easter holidays began, I was at boarding school, we would meet up and go sailing.

Out all day...

Home was like a hotel but as my parents were busy growing flowers commercially on a three acre plot of land, they were happy for me to have found such an all absorbing pass time.

Coming from a very competitive family, I soon wanted to have my own racing sailing dinghy so that I could demonstrate my skills in competition.

I told my parents about my wish and deep desire and for days and weeks I would bring up the topic of the racing dinghy into every imaginable conversation. 

My parents would be talking about any subject under the sun and I would enter in and carefully manoeuvre the conversation around to the sailing dinghy.

Eventually they gave in and my dream came true.

Because of a great deal of time spent on this pass time or sport, obviously I became pretty good at it, but that is another story which you can read about on my auto bio if you so wish on the Internet.

At the age of 25 and having become disillusioned with yacht racing, I found Jesus Christ.

Now I had a new and all absorbing interest..JESUS...THE HOLY BIBLE...AND ALL THINGS CHRISTIAN...

THIS INTEREST AFTER 50 YEARS IS STILL MY NUMBER ONE INTEREST.

CHRISTIANITY IS VERY MUCH ON THE WANE...PEOPLE ARE JUST NOT INTERESTED IN A CHARACTER WHO DIED RATHER SHAMEFULLY ON A CROSS TWO THOUSAND YEARS AGO..

Luckily for me this Jesus is not dead but very much alive and is just as all absorbing to me now as he was 50 years ago. During that 50 years I have devoted my life full time to trying to follow Him, and serve Him.

My main emphasis has not been in endless church attendance, or Eucharist consumption, considered by many to be the b all and end all of serving Jesus, but to take Him as I know Him, rather inadequately, to a lost and hurting world that lives outside my doors in whatever part of the world I live in.

In acts chapter one verse eight, and Mark 16:15, Jesus exhorts his true followers, not just a myriad of church attenders, to go into all the World and spread the good news, starting at their Jerusalem, for me this would be presently Bielstein, then Judea, this would NordRhineWesfallen NRW AND THEN TO THE UTTERMOST PARTS OF THE WORLD...

HAVING ALREADY LIVED ALL OVER THE WORLD IN ALL MAJOR CONTINENTS EXCEPT AUSTRALASIA(OCEANIA) for me the easiest is just to hop on a daily train with a yearly season ticket and go to Cologne the capital of NRW and to where people from all over the world flock to see the shrine of the three wise men entombed there.

Having learned a smattering of several languages...French ...Russian..German..Hindi..Polish...Slovakian...Hungarian...Italian...Portuguese..Spanish...Dutch..

I am able to basically communicate with thousands a week that JESUS CHRIST LOVES THEM and then if they allow me the time, to listen to their problems and give them the solution of the GOSPEL..often praying with them on the spot to receive the crucified and risen and ascended Lord Jesus into their hearts..

I love my job and would not swap this for all the tea in China or the Rothschild 500 trillion£.

So there you have it..

The challenge ...

Do you love Jesus enough to share him with others at every opportunity... On the train...on the bus...at work during breaks..at school...

Are you praying and asking Jesus to help you to open up opportunities for you to give your testimony of just how wonderful He is.

Soon you will be embarking on that inevitable journey when you breathe your last breath on this flat earth....

Will you be prepared to answer the question posed by a very good Christian friend and brother, SINGING SAM.???

WHAT HAVE YOU DONE WITH YOUR LIFE?

WHAT HAVE YOU DONE THAT YOU BELIEVE IN?

THAT IS WHAT HE WILL ASK YOU WHEN YOU SEE HIM?
